The Senators stopped the Dodgers winning streak with a hard fought 5-4 win. The Dodgers had the lead going into the top of the 7th inning when the Senators struck for 3 runs. Dave Vanwormer started the inning drawing a walk, next batter Herb Cepeda then hit a home run over the left center field fence to tie the game. Ron McCarthy then singled and stole second, the next 2 batters made outs when T Nicholson then looped a single into shallow center to plate the go ahead run.
Joe Burns came on to shut the Dodgers down in the bottom of the inning to gain the win. Congrats to the Senators on their first win in the league, with many more to come. A well played game game on both teams part.
