Our Thanks and my personal thanks to Bill Pelton for stepping in last night and umping the 55 game betweeen the Marlins and the Cougars. Bill gave up his player's role to fill in for the scheduled ump who did not show up last night. It was a well played game by both teams and the Marlins escaped with a 9-6 victory. Tom Warner

In a just world, the league would compensate him both for his time as an ump, and for the loss of a game as a player--but that's just the lawyer in me talking....
