Sunday PM was a beautiful day for a ball game. The Vets got by Blue Thunder with good pitching from Bill K and Joe S. Artie came in to close with 3 dynamite pitches. The last one ended the game with a DP started by Joe Mc. It was a good game on a good day. That being said, I want to fo;;ow up on what Bob said about his SS. An injury in a game in our league, seems to be "nature of the beast" However, a pulled hammy or a quad is not as serious as the reasult of the collision that occured in our game. I know John Hayden only by reputation. Bob always speaks well of him. He is a game player that would stay in a game regardless of almost any injury. This time he couldn't. Interestingly enough, our player Donny Wixon, is exactly the same. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with John, certainly for his injury, but as much for the fact that he will not be able to play the game that is so much a part of our lifes.
