on a blue-sky night at cba, the a's and peppers played a good game, with the peppers coming on top, 7-2.the peppers took advantage of walks and hit batsman (mark myers twice), getting timely hits and/or steals for runs. roger coryell went 3-for-3, with a double and dave demaria also hit a double for the peppers. mike hart allowed 4 hits over seven. for the A's spilman, ferguson and schueite each went 1-for-3.
