On a very hot and humid evening, the WhizKids defeated the Marlins in a game called after 5 innings. Jesse Braverman, in his first pitching appearance this season, threw 2-hit ball over 4 innings, and went 2-2 at the plate with a walk and 3 runs scored. The WhizKids gave Braverman plenty of support, scoring 11 runs in the 3rd, with 2-RBI doubles coming from John Healey and Jim Porter. Truly a total team effort as 8 WhizKids had hits (3 each from Don Dennis, Dave Palmer, Mike Lannon and Porter), 10 scored (3 each by Billy Smith, Dennis, Porter, and Braverman), and 6 had RBI's (Porter had 4).
