1st inning trouble for Yankees starter Lex Herrlett giving up a lead off walk who got to 3rd with a stolen base and then another walk, with a man on 2nd an 3rd with 1 down Herrlett pitches out of trouble to end the threat. 2nd inning Yankees scoring comes alive with 4 plated runs with some timely hitting and a few errors from the defense. Shasky's kept at bay for the first 5 innings getting 1 hit and no runs thru 5, Yanks score 2 in the 3rd and 3 in the 5th and 5 in the 6th to put game out of reach for the shasky's, releiver Tony Clement pitched a clean 5th and 6th for the yankees surrendering 1 hit. Yankees win 14-0,
