Blue Thunder versus Black Sox 7/18/10

The Black Sox struck for 4 runs in the first. The Blue Thunder scored 2 in the top half of the 2nd. It remained that way until the top of the 5th when the Thunder plated 1 run. It would have been 2, but Tarantino, from centerfield, rifled the ball to Musella to cut down a Thunder runner at the plate for the second out of the inning. In the bottom of the fifth Tarantino reached on a walk, followed by a Musella single. On a 2-1 pitch Ramos launched a moon shot over the left field fence to give the Black Sox a 7-3 lead and the final score. Solomon pitched the first 3 innings for the Sox giving up 2 runs, 1 earned. Jim LaTorre twrilled the final 4 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 5. Tarantino, Musella and Ramos each scored twice and Caputo once. Ramos added a double to his homer and 3 rbi. Musella and Stanley each had 2 hits, with Stanley adding 2 rbi. The Thunder were led by Kelly with a hit and 1 rbi. Jon Martin smoked the ball twice, once for a single and another for an ROE. The Thunder are a strong team and we both look forward to meeting again in a couple of weeks.
