The Dodgers defeated the Vets on Sunday 7-1. Wayne Newcomb went the distance for the win. Wayne gave up only 1 hit which was a broken bat single just out of the reach of the infielder. Great pitching as he was ahead of the hitters all day. On the offensive side Paul Celentano led the way with 3 hits and 2 rbi's. Also Wayne Newcomb, Brett Conlin,and John Cortese also contributed to the offense with 2 hits each.
The Vets are a team to keep a eye out for when the playoffs start. Brad Buchan has added on some very good players to this squad. I wish them luck the rest of the year.
