Yanks and Shasky's square off for the second game in the series. Yankees go to work early with 7 of the first 11 batters reaching base and plating 7 runs. Lex Herrlett gives some momentum back to the Shasky's with surrendering 4 runs for the shasky's to make it a game in the bottom half of the first. Herrlett settled in and only allowed 1 of the next 10 batters to reach base. Yankees add some pressure with 2 runs in the 2nd, 4 runs in the 3rd, 2 runs in the 4th, 1 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th and 2 in the 7th. Yankee hitting attack lead by Tony Parella going 4 for 4 with a walk, a home run, a double and 2 singles.(missed the cycle by a triple which he would have had if he ran out the pop fly that got lost in the outfield with the twilight sky) every batter had at least 1 hit, Duemler, Johnson, ROdriguez, Robertson, all with multi-hits, Greg WITALEC ( or wetilac or Watelic ) took the mound for the yankees and took an inning to find his stride the shaskys plate a couple runs with some hits , walks, and a wild pitch, but the retired his next 7 batters to help secure the win. Shaksy's played admirably, never quiting and kept up their intensity throughhout the game. Good bunch of guys and hats off for a great and fun series. Artie get well, and always a pleasure to be able to play baseball, and have a Mike Hart sighting again, playing first base and being up to the plate.
