Game 1 of the 35+ semi-final turned out to be quite the pitching duel as #1 seed and 9 game winner Ed Powell faced Jimmy Becker and the #5 seed Orioles. At the 6pm start time approached, the Outlaws had only 8 players present. Game started with the Outlaws using Jimmy Konstantakis in right field as their 9th was stuck in traffic. No score thru the first inning, but as the second inning started and the Outlaws 9th was still not present, the Orioles forced the Outlaws to play with only their 8 players, and it proved to be the deciding factor, as with only two outfielders, a double to center by John Paloga scored the games only run. Well played game by two very skilled teams. Hopefully, game two will be just as exciting.
