just to clarify a few things. we will go up to 54+ next year. and 55+ the following year. meaning any player next year must turn 54 by 12/31/11. a new team must submit a roster by Dec. 1 . this roster must include a signature of intent by all prospective players. there are league min. roster sizes but this submission has no min. there is also no limit to the amount of players coming from any existing teams. the Dec. 1st application along with a deposit of $500 , will then go through a process that seeks approval from the President and Commissioner , and then if successful there, the existing managers of the division must approve the application by 70%. the commissioner must then submit his season plan for board approval which would include the new applicant. The board can adjust matters as it sees fit to this plan. the balance of the team fee would be due by FEb 1. if unsuccessful the deposit would be returned in full. PS this process is meant to jive with the free agency period and allow commissioners time to adjust matters in their season plan. It also gives each existing managers a chance to weigh in on the addition and various impacts to them. Once an application is approved and the season plan accepted by the board and all fees are due that team will be considered a full member and subject to the rules of that division.
