17 Annual Northeast Labor Day Tournament Results 25 division

The Competition in this years Labor Day Tournament happened to be the best I have seen in my 5 years of playing in it. Every team competed and their were no blow outs.

CDMSBL All Stars 3-1 faced off in the finals versus the Dutchess County Cardinals 4-0 (beat the All Stars 5-1 on day 1).

The All Stars scored 2 runs in the 1st inning on a single by Bill Behrle who moves to 2nd on a passed ball and tagged up on a sac fly. Jimmy Rogers and Rudy Fallas walk to load the bases for Phil Weinman who hits a rocket to 3rd base and the old ole play brings in 2 runs.

The Cardinals score 1 run in the 2nd inning with consecutive singles by Zehnbauer and Pollack. Reynolds walks and Libutti singles in Zehnbauer.

In the 4th inning the Cards tie the game at 2 with a double byy Hammel and a single by the pitcher reynolds.

In the 5th inning the All Stars string together a few hits by Maldanado, Rogers and Fallas to plate 2 runs and to take a 4-2 lead.

In the 7th the All Stars add another insurance run when Maldanado reaches on a error and Jimmy Rogers drives him in and this gives the All Stars a 5 to 2 lead.

Pete,

Maybe next year you come down and pitch in the 25's? I am confident you will still be lights out.
