PLAYER LOOKING FOR TEAM FOR PLAYOFF RUN IN 28 AND OVER

ANY TEAM IN THE 28 AND OVER LOOKING TO ADD A PLAYER FOR YOUR PLAYOFF RUN?
I CAN PLAY ALL DEFENSIVE POSITIONS. MOST EVERYONE KNOWS ME. I HAD A DISAGREEMENT WITH THE "MANAGER" OF THE METS. I FELT THAT HE WAS A JERK THAT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF TEAM PLAYERS DOING WHATS BEST FOR THE TEAM AND HE FELT THAT HE WAS NOT A JERK. AFTER HE WALKED OUT ON HIS TEAM AFTER BEING SHELLED (AGAIN) AND RANTED IN FRONT OF SEVERAL WIVE'S AND CHILDREN " I HATE THIS F@#%ING TEAM I DON'T WANT TO PLAY WITH THEM ANYMORE" HE RETURNED (SADLY) THE FOLLOWING WEEK TO NEARLY START A FIGHT WITH HIS OWN TEAMMATE IN THE TOP OF THE SEVENTH INNING (ASK KEVIN JACKSON WHO WAS AT THE PLATE).
SADLY THIS YEARS METS ARE DEFINED AS " MANAGEMENT EGO TANKS SEASON." THE TEAM DOES NOT SUCK. THERE ARE AS MANY TALENTED GUYS AS ON ANY OTHER TEAM AND ON ANY GIVEN DAY WITH THE EGOS PUT ASIDE WE WOULD LIKELY BE 11-3 INSTEAD OF 3-11.

As a former Met, I can tell you that I went through the same difficulties two years ago. Then manager Greg Martin allayed to me that most of the choices that were made involving who played and who didn't were NOT in fact his decisions. That there was another "manager" calling the shots.

Because I wasn't a good hitter, I was left out of the line-up in our playoff game despite the fact that I was the best defensive option at shortstop that day. The "manager" instead started his brother-in-law who hadn't played shortstop all year long (or ever to my knowledge). Said player made four errors in the second inning leading to five unearned runs (he made five total errors) and the Mets lost the game 7-4.

I left in the fifth because I was so disgusted at the way things were being handled and haven't spoken to anyone on the Mets since. Upon leaving I told Greg Martin that the Mets would never be winning team so long as they existed to serve the ego of one man alone.

First of all, I'm not even in counrty to defend myself (IRAQ), second of all I was the coach not manager. I was told the players to play and I placed them in a postion and batting order. Yes most the time it was my choice alone, but not in big games. Its not easy to make everyone on a team happy about playing time, especially if your team is heavy in the loss column. I always did my best to keep the team playing every game and to be as competitive as possible. If I'm not mistaken the METS, while I was coach, never forfieted a game. I know some might think this is trival, but the teams we played probably respected it. Oh by the way Hurricane I was picked up from another team (winning team) to help out a new francise not to coach, that just fell on me. I wanted to play, and if it meant sweating to get players and bowing down to coach I would do it again. I love the game to much. I know you weren't blasting me but you did use my name. So I will defend, just like I am here in Iraq. Hope you caught onto another team, you are a great sport and loyal player. To Herb and Rob hope to see you both next season. Later, Greg Martin
