i would like to add that my congratulations go out to the vets. they have really come together as a team and are playing some solid baseball. good for them. way to go guys, good luck. pete westfall
just wanted to add, i saw something in sunday's game that i'd never seen playing 12 years in cdmsbl. it's probably just luck of the draw that i'd not seen it, but it's also rare. so i felt it should be briefly replayed and celebrated here:
after three vets each singled to start the game against the dodgers, lefty hitter dave hartman took a big swing and smacked a grand slam high and far over the right field fence.
it was a timely, pretty and really grand hit, a pleasure to see.

To the Vets, and leader Brad Buchan, great Job this season, and being one of the semi-finalists, you guy's surely deserve a pat on the back. Brad, I'm sure you realize that team chemistry, and having guy's show, game in, game out are ingredients to success. Plus, making tough decision's, as far as changing player personnel is not the easiest thing to do. Best of luck this upcoming weekend, and you may be 80-1 to win it all (VEGAS ODDS), but you have surely been a winner putting this club together in 2010.
