Brad Buch and Jay Hayner got off to a great start Monday playing for the Tucson Golden Aces at the 2010 Mens Senior Baseball League (MSBL) World Series in Phoenix.
The Aces, playing in the 60-and-over division, knocked off Tri Valley, 10-3, in the first game of a doubleheader, then outslugged Seattle, 16-7, in the nightcap. Brad pitched a complete game for the Aces in the opener, allowing just two earned runs.
Jay played 3B and went 1 for 2 with a sacrifice, walk and scored twice to back Buchan's effort.
In the nightcap, Jay went 2 for 5 and scored twice.. Brad was 0-1 and was hit by a pitch.
The Aces play again at 2 p.m. today. Will post results when they come in.
have had the pleasure of playing with and against both of these guys, they are class acts and great guys to be around..no surprises as to what they have been able to do on the diamond. keep it going boys. p.s.-- jay , where did you leave the keys for that chevy ??
