Mike's wife Kathy left a voice mail to say the surgery went very well. The doctors removed what they needed to and said everything else looks crystal clear. They won't know for sure for another week or so after the part of the colon they removed is sent for analysis.
I'm going to St. Peter's this afternoon to visit. I don't know what room he is in. I also don't know yet how long he will be in the hospital or the recovery time. JK

Just got back from St. Peter's. Mike's in Rm. 6211. No phone.
He still a bit groggy, but is seeing visitors, or at least is listening to his visitors! Lucky guy is all morphined up! But he's still aware that his beloved Colts have a key game Thursday againt Teneessee. Unfortunately, he won't be able to see it. St. Peter's doesn't carry the NFL Network.
He has to walk 5 times a day, and had walked twice by noon. His wife and daughter were there earlier with the whip. He's a bit uncomfortable in that he has cotton mouth and can't eat or drink anything. He hasn't had solid food in 4 days. He has dry skin and the room he's in is warm.
The doctor will be in to see him Thursday. He doesn't know right now how long he'll have to be in, but he doesn't expect to go home before the weekend.
