The importance of winning ...

Can't believe someone from the Jets sidelines personnel would jeopardize a player's professional future by sticking his knee into an unsuspecting player to gain an advantage. Many would call it cheating. Others would call it sick, disgusting and gutless.

If the Jets 33-year-old strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi isn't, at best, suspended the rest of the season without pay, then something is terribly amiss. He should be fined and fired.

There is no place for that in amateur sports, let alone professional sports. The coach is a loud-mouth thug and his staff is nothing more than an extension of him. Thank goodness the Dolphins showed enough class to let the NFL handle it.

Hope the Steelers beat the Jets 48-0 Sunday and fireman Ed turns in his season ticket.
Question: Any proud Jets fans out there today?

Not a Jets fan - but just wanted to point something out about that play.

If you look, all these assorted coaches are lined up as close to the white barrier line as they can be just up fron the line of scrimmage with their hands behind their backs. It looks like an intentional "intimidation" play that would make gunner for the kicking team feel squeezed along the sideline. Alosi was stupid enough to stick his knee out.

My guess is if you look at all the punts for the Dolphins, you would see the same setup for each play. I would love to know if that is true.

Hold on there partner..
If feeling like your behind your team, win or lose, through thick(Namath, Weeb Eubank)and thin(Walt Michaels,Joe Walton;etc. etc.)DWI's,faked spikes et al, then yes I'm still a proud Jet Fan. Ryan is just a bit misunderstood.
Maybe Alosi was just hoping to get a gig with the Rockettes or he had an itch in his kneecap. Haven't you ever had an itch?
I think ye must protest too much.
PS . Tear down your Steel Curtain, Pittsburg!

Just rolled back in from Steel-town where the Green & White (minus Roidalosi) took care of business. If anyone gets the chance, great city, great bars, great fans.

Alosi deserves what he got, maybe even more. But anyone who thinks no other team lines up like this needs to close the cover on the airplane glue. Granted, no one was foolish enough to stick out a knee.

BTW - Fraudulent Ed doesn't pay for his tickets, he sold out a long time ago.

"I want to fly like an Eagle...." hehehe - what does the G stand for in G-Men?
