With Hummingbirds Jim Latorre , Al Freer and Skip Lyons , joining last years team of Jim Konstantakis, Billy Smith (from the Hornets) and Jim Ansel, Ed Deigel, Dennis Scimeca, John Reel, and Skip Treece. Also joining up from this years Goldens were Dave Schindler and Jay Hayner. These twelve endured the four games and allowed only 7 runs . Ralph Caputo threw the win over the Vets in the prelim, followed by a Latorre win in game 2 over the Thunder, and in the 10 Am sunday game Scimeca got our third win over Vermont. Jim Ansel threw a complete game shotout for the championship, over the 2-1 Vets, and for that and his 9 hit perfromance was awarded the tourny MVP My thanks to all who played in this division and I see it growing for next year with at least half being out of town teams. We have a strong local 48 league and the tight and well played games on sat. were a testament to the talent we have here. Score in that final was 4-0.
I don't have alot of results as yet . but will get them up here ASAP, either tonight or in the Afternoon tomorrow after the 38 American and 28+ championships games at A diamond. these are always good games and worth a look. Hope to see all of you out there.
