On behalf of the Board and the HOF committee, I would like to announce the selection of the class of 2011 CDMSBl Hall of Fame. Dick Stark and Ron Coon.
These 2 gentlemen have had long and stellar careers in the league. Ron has been a perennial all star with the Hummingbirds since their early years of dominance. And mixed in there are three national MSBL titles. Dick is a long time CDMSBL member/mgr. who has titles in the 25, 35, and 45 divisions, and served as a divisional commissioner. Both are great teammates and sportsmen.
We will honor Ron and Dick on March 5th at the league banquet. I hope you will join me in congratulating them here , and at the banquet on their special night. John Reel '06

Congratulations to both Dick and Ron!!....two very deserving individuals who represent our league with great class both on and off the field. Looking forward to seeing you both at the League Banquet and welcoming you to the Hall. Jim McQuade '08
Two great additions to the HOF!! Ron is still one of the top ballplayers this league has...in any division. Dick is an outstanding competitor, and has made numerous contributions to our league in many capacities.
Thanks guys, I look forward to the evening as well.
I will become a full time Charlotte, NC resident on February 7. Once I left, I planned on never coming back to the Capital District when it was cold and there was snow on the ground.
I will however make an exception for this evening. I am honored, humbled and thrilled to be part of the CDMSBL Hall Of Fame.
Ron and Dick ARE what the CDMSBL Hall of Fame is all about. Can't wait till we roast, I mean, um, toast, these guys at the banquet.
The HOF committee was right on the mark with these two gentlemen and competitors. Nice work by all of you, but mostly to Dick and Ron who helped make this league one of the most competitive in all of the CDMSBL chapters.
don't know how many people remember this, or perhaps want to remember it, but for two years, dick was my co-manager on the red hot chili peppers. he brought a talented crew and we joined forces. the new peppers didn't win any titles, but we won more games than we lost, a novel and welcome experience for everyone.
dick knew how to win and did so wherever he went. he and his players formed the orioles after leaving the peppers and promptly won a title. i can still see him at new scotland field parking lot at a post-season all-star game, saying, "hey mike, look at this." then he opened his trunk and pulled out one of the biggest trophies i've ever seen, with shiny silver columns as long as a man's legs. it was for winning the 35 title. last summer, i told him i hope he plays ball in n.carolina, where, if he does, he should also probably add a few shelves to his trophy case.
