28+ Marlins/Tigers Semi's Results

The two games played Sunday at Schenectady turned out to be the best two games I've played in for years.

FIRST GAME: The Tigers got on top first with 4 runs in the top of the 1st. The Marlins scored two runs in the bottom of the 3rd to cut the lead in half. A few runs were scored by both teams in the next couple of innings. Going into the bottom of the 7th it was the Tigers - 8 and the Marlins - 4. The Tigers got a quick out and then the next two Marlins (Chris Bearup and Fred Mcintosh) reached on singles. The next batter struckout so the Marlins had 2 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd. Then Bobby Lane (single, rbi) and Jay Teson (walk, rbi) got on. It was now a 8-6 game with men on 1st, 2nd and 3rd and two outs. The Marlins #3 hitter, Dan Ryan roped a single to right field to tie the game. Joe Fitzgerald then came up and placed a first pitch single down the first base line to score the winning run.

MARLINS - 9
TIGERS - 8

SECOND GAME: The Marlins continued their hot hitting early scoring 6 runs in the first inning. But they wouldn't score again until scoring 1 run in the top of the 7th. The Tigers brought it closer with 2 runs in the 2nd and 1 in the 5th. Entering the bottom of the 6th it was the Marlins - 7 Tigers - 3. The Tigers potent bats suddenly woke up scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take the lead.

TIGERS - 9
MARLINS - 7

** Game 3 - TBD

The Marlins and the Tigers played two emotional, well played games that makes this league what it is. For anyone that enjoys good baseball think about coming out to Game 3, which I will post time and date when announced.

GREAT DAY OF BASEBALL TIGERS!!
