Game of the Week ...

We also want to post a Game of the Week this year.

If there is a game that should be featured, then let me know and I will post it on the league's Web site.

It can be any division, but the one you believe will be the best one to perhaps entice some of our league members to come out and watch.

It could be two teams battling for the top spot in a division. It could be a pitching matchup or some other scenario ...

Thnx.

I would think that the easy choice in the 35+ division in week one would be the Cubs vs. Dodgers Saturday morning, April 30th, at New Scotland, at 10:00am.
It promises to be a great game featuring the pitching of the Dodgers (Shook, Pearsall, and Dedrick) versus the imposing batting order of the defending champion Cubs.
Miss this one at your own risk!

I was kinda hoping to start this on the 35+ website as well. I was thinking about shooting out questions to the managers of both teams for a weekly feature.

Thoughts?

i'd say great minds think alike but it may be more appropriate to say warped minds think alike biggrin.gif .... before i read this post i read rob's about the 35 game of the week and made the suggestion that this game be the one for the 35's...

i'd even go as far as to say you two may be the preseason favorites to take it all ....

Go for it Rob.
Having it in two places ensures more people will read it.

Each team should have teir own reporter.
If you have one reporter, they would need to be at each game of the week, in order to report on it.
That would keep most people from volunteering for that job.
I would volunteer for the Golden Marlins.

Well Mike,

We discussed this a few weeks ago. I like your re-caps so much, I asked Quentin if I could send you the info on games in the 55 division and have you write them!

You have a job with us!

Once this gets going it might be a good idea to post the writeups on our facebook page.... it gets almost no traffic and maybe a little more content would get people going there... and generate some new players, interest etc.
