Attention all players and managers in the 35+ division: The website is now completely up-to-date and ready for the 2011 season which starts in six days. All rosters are complete with teh very latest information. Managers can still notify me for additions and/or subtractions throughout the year as long as the move has been approved by the 35+ Commish.
Here's a thought I had for this year. How about some sort of a "game of the week" feature story for a hand selected game each week? I could nominate three games, open it to a vote and see what comes up? Or, I could assure that each team in the league gets at least one feature story for a "game of the week?"
Thoughts?
I could use this thread here on the bulletin board for each GotW or we could start a new one with each week.
but how about you open it up to all players for suggestions... then either you pick (good to be king ) or do a poll using the three or four that make the most sense
i'll start with a suggestion for week 1 ..... the reigning champion cubbies versus the vastly improved rockies / dodgers on (let's hope) a beautiful saturday morning at swift road .....
I guess I could pick the Dodgers/Cubs game as the default for week one and set up a poll for week two.
I'll futz around with the website and see what I can come up with.
Everyone make sure to check into the 35+ website to cast your vote!
EDIT: I have updated the website with a poll for week #2. I have reached out to Ralph and to Jim to ask if they wouldn't mind being the first two to participate in this experiment - I hope to have something written by opening day.
Sadly, I cannot access last year's stats so I'll have to go based upon memory.

What this will require is participation from each manager. I will reach out to the managers of the teams voted on as the "Game of the Week" candidates and ask a couple of questions about the game for the write up.
lets do this in every div. remember it doesn't have to be the best teams to be the best game. someone can propose but I'd say I'd leave the "coverage" up to the reporters and editors who would spend time on the pre game , the game and the wrap up with pics. any volunteers to help our 45 and 55 web people.
