Congrats to the 2005 28+ Orioles on their victory in today's playoff finals 10-1. The Orioles were 4-0 in the postseason displaying an excellent combination of quality pitching and hitting that they did all year.
I would like thank all the guys on the 28+ Orioles for this championship. Probably one of the best teams I ever played on. Its great to see a bunch of guys from different backrounds and of all different ages (I'm the oldest at 46yrs) to come together and put egos aside as far as playing time and their place in the batting order for the good of the team. Thanks to the Tigers a great bunch of guys, there where no umpire controversy, no smack talk, no nothing, just good clean hard played baseball. Once again thanks O's...............
Congrats Tony, Dick, Ryan, Dabs and the 28+ Orioles on cruising through the playoffs. You made some very good teams look very ordinary on your way to the championship. Super job! Enjoy the champagne!
From the Albany Marlins...congrats to the Orioles. You guys played great in the postseason. Even though I would like to think it would have been a little different if the Marlins played you..you guys deserved it. Don't get to attached to the trophy though. Congrats again!!
I JUST WANTED TO REITERATE WHAT TONY SAID ABOUT THE 2005 28+ ORIOLES. I HAVE PLAYED ON SOME GOOD TEAMS IN THIS LEAGUE AND I FEEL WITHOUT A DOUBT THIS WAS THE BEST TEAM I EVER PLAYED ON. GUYS PLAYED TEAM BASEBALL AND IT DIDNT MATTER IF YOU BATTED 4TH OR 11TH NO ONE COMPLAINED. DENNIS WALTERS,JIM SHOOK,JIMMY BECKER AND BERT VANDENBURG ALL PITCHED GREAT THIS YEAR. OUR DEFENSE WAS SOLID AND WE HAD EXCELLENT HITTING. MIKE STAMMEL CARRIED US ALL YEAR WITH HIS BAT AS WELL AS HIS GLOVE. I COMMEND THIS TEAM FOR PUTTING ASIDE EGO'S AND FOCUSING ON WINNING...WHICH FEELS AWFULLY GOOD..... THANK YOU AGAIN
