Tomorrow morning I will post whether and which games can be played according to field conditions after I speak with Darrell. I will post at approximately 8:00 a.m. John is out of town for a few days so I am acting as interim commissioner.
I just drove by both fields. These are just my observations. The infield at New Scotland was puddle - free. I don't know how firm the dirt was but, barring anymore downpours, chances are that field will be ready. The satellite field was pretty wet. There is a puddle that covers 50% of the dirt between 1st and 2nd base along with a couple of smaller puddles in the infield. If you have a game scheduled for the satellite field I would start praying to the drainage gods now!

Wix, tell Darrell I'll come up early to help fix the Satellite field. I can be there as early as he wants.
Remember, too, that we can start the games a little later at the Satellite since there are only two games there. We've got to get these games in. Teams are already saddled with two or three DHs and I'm sure the guys want to keep July 31 free to enjoy a Sunday without baseball. (Yes, I realize what I said!)
We can't start too much later than the 11:45 start time for Game 1 or I'll have to call the umpires to see if they can adjust to the new starting times.
As for NS, we can also just PPD the first game and get the field ready for the next three.
Thnx Don. JimK
