I told you so!

After our game against the NJ White Sox, I predicted that if we didn't win it, they would.
Well the NJ White Sox won in the quarter finals 14-2, in the semi finals 10-1, and in the championship game 5-4 (vs. Montgomery County Yankees).
This performance really flatters the Braves game against New Jersey in the Round Robin. There were only two teams to challenge the NJ White Sox as they made their way to the championship. The Montgomery County Yanks in the Championship game(5-4) and the Braves(4-3) on Wednesday in the Round Robin. Other than those two one-run games the Sox swept to a 6-0 record outscoring those six opponents 73-11.
Further complimenting the accomplishments of the Albany team was the success of the other playoff team from our division. The Detroit Diamondbacks beat the Louisville Orioles (11-6) in the first round, then beat the previously undefeated Denver Pelicans (3-2) in the quarter finals, before losing to the Montgomery County Yanks (5-4) in the semi finals.
Both of these two teams were glad that they did not have to face us in the playoffs after we took them to the wall in the round robin games. There were many complimentary comments from both teams in the post-game handshakes.
It really makes you wonder what we would have been able to achieve if we had gotten just one or two bounces in games two and three of the RR. It sounded like sour grapes, even to me, when I gave those summaries from my laptop in Florida. But now, I really wonder!
I guess it will just have to be the fire in the belly of those that want to go back and win the rings!!!
