On the first warm night of the season the BlueJays defeated the Shaskys 8-1 behind the sterling pitching of John Weber. The BlueJays bats stayed hot and without our 3 and 4 hitters and as usual we played solid defense. This was a close game into the 5th with the BlueJays holding a 5-1 lead into the 6th when we score 3 more to take a commanding lead. Paul Post, Wayne Newcomb and Rich Garbarino I believe each had 2 hits.
The Shaskys played hard till the end and will be a tough team throughout the season.
