I received an email from Rob Giffin of the Roy Hobbs Organization about a 50 yr old player that might be tired of playing in a 17+ league in the Hudson Valley. I told him I would pass on the information. Looks like he would have to commute quite a ways if anyone needs a player. If a 50 yr old is still playing with 20 yr olds, he can't be that bad. Mike S.
This gentleman is looking for a place to play with his peers. I thought that you might be able to help him. Thanks. Rob Giffen Roy Hobbs Baseball http://www.royhobbs.com
I am currently playing in HVNABA Premier (17+) which is located in the Hudson Valley area of New York. My age is 50. Thank you. Sincerely, John Pilenza Westchester Stucco Systems, Inc. 141 South MacQuesten Parkway Mount Vernon, NY 10550 914.665.9500 Office info@westchesterstuccosystemsinc.com
Rob - I did a little bit of snooping around on the internet and it looks like he might be worth picking up. He was the MVP in one of their all star games and it looked like he hit over .300 in the 17+ league several years in a row. We would be a perfect fit since we're probably the closest to him but it looks like we have a full squad after everyone checked in. Plus he plays 2nd base
The last guy I checked out was an absolute superstar and had NCAA records for single season batting average or something crazy like that and I lost out to another team in the 45's (Artie if I remember correctly). He showed up doubled his first at bat and then tore his hamstring and never played again!
Rob - I just saw your message and responded too
