The Twins got by the Pirates at Shuttleworth 14-2 on a cool Wednesday evening. Leading the way for the Twins were Terry McCarthy with 4 hits including a triple, Ricky Saidenberg with 3 hits, single, double, and triple, Stefan Koutsakis 2 hits Including a double and Tom King with 2 hits. Wayne Nicholsen picked up the win to go 4-1. Wayne Newcomb hit well for the Pirates going 2-2 including a signature Newcomb line drive double to the left field gap.
Nicholsen was tough as always....Twins came out swinging with solid hit after hit in plating 8 runs in the first, chasing the Pirates starter, and Buccos could never regroup against Nicholsen. Twins are a classy bunch of guys who play the game the right way. Good luck to them in 2nd half!
