Does anyone know where to get good baseballs in large quantities for a decent price?? My son's old little league is looking to buy a bunch. Just thought someone here might know something I don't.
Doug - I have a bucket of used CDMSBL balls that would be fine for a little league practice. They are currently blocking my path to the shovels and rakes in my garage which provides a perfect excuse as to why I can't get any yard-work done! Considering that, you can call me at 366-5531 and negotiate a price.

Sorry - I misread your post. I thought you needed enough for one team. Maybe some other GMs also have a bucket in their garages.

Hey Doug - My stock of baseballs from 13 years beating them up in BP for the Peppers was running low, so on Friday, I visited two stores, and bought five hardballs in one.
Dick's prices were way too high: for merely decent balls, they wanted about $10 a ball, or $120 for a box of 12. No discounts. Nonsense.
Then I went to Play it Again Sports in the Harris Plaza on Route 7 on the way to Schenectady: They only had Little League baseballs, but they were the correct size and weight (5 oz) and they sold them for $4 each. I bought five, which is all I wanted, and didn't ask if they would give me a further discount for a box. I used the five balls on Sunday in warmups at a Capital Division scrimmage and they were fine.
If Play it Again interests you, you might call first (518-785-6587) to see how many baseball they have available. When I got there, they had only two boxes, but they may have others elsewhere in the store.
Doug, I can donate several boxes of new Diamond baseballs. The only potential stumbling block for the league that will be using them is that the balls all say Cal Ripken Baseball on them which is a division of Babe Ruth League. They do not say Little League Baseball.
Let me know if that can work on your end. Text me at 413-717-2552.
That is a fine gesture Mr. Edelman! Way to go! Giving back to youth baseball is the something we all could do.
Hey Doug, MJG Appliances would like to donate $ 250.00 for baseballs for the league. Just message me as to where to send the check, and I will get it right out!
Anybody else want to join Jim and I in donating new baseballs or money to buy some. You can't go wrong giving back to the young men of tomorrow.
You friggin' guys are the best!! My wife is the VP of Halfmoon little league and she spends an obscene amount of time trying to get kids to play, and stay playing in Halfmoon, even after little league ends. She is also the coordinator for the Babe Ruth Rec league and just wants kids to play. Most of the attention goes to the travel teams, so she makes a huge effort to keep kids playing, just for the fun of it. Kind of how WE keep playing! Anyways, when she asked me where we can get a lot of balls, I said, let me ask my guys, maybe they know a good website or have bought balls in bulk before. And of course, as I should have expected, you went way beyond that, offering me balls out of your garage, or money to help buy some! I showed her your responses and she cried. Jimmy K. gave me the idea of calling other organizations and we got ahold of Andy Frye in Guilderland, who gave us a website where he gets his supply. But we always seem to run out no matter how many we get. lol Mike, you can make the check out to Halfmoon Baseball League and send it to P.O. Box 4309, Halfmoon, NY 12065 My wife will put your company logo on our sponsors board! Thanks again fellas!! See you out there soon!
