The WhizKids and Angels squared off at the Big A Thursday night. The WhizKids took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first, featuring a bases clearing triple off the bat of Gene Hallenbeck. They added another run in the bottom of the second when Bob Holmes led off with a single, and scored on Shawn Martins single. The Angels came back with three of their own in the top of the third, as Scorsone, Garbarino and Turnbull all scored. The WhizKids responded with a big inning of their own, as they batted around in the bottom half of the frame to restore a comfortable lead. Perfect days at the plate were turned in by Bolt, Kane, Holmes and Martin for the Whiz. Hinman had 2 of the 5 hits for the Halos.
