Trailing 8-5 entering the top of the 7th the Americans scored 4 runs to best the Arachnids 9-8. Wayne Nicholsen pitched the first 6 for the Arachinids and gave way to Darrell Duncan who came on in relief for the 7th. A couple of hits, a couple of errors, and a couple of walks resulted in the visitors victory. Mike LaBarge scored what proved to be the winning run on a clutch line drive single to left by Jim Porter. Scott Ross picked up the win giving up just 1 hit and 2 walks in 4 innings of stellar relief of Jimmy Kostantakis. Lots of errors. 7 for the Arachnids and 5 for the Americans. Both teams had just 6 hits. John Reel hit a long double for the Arachinids, the only extra base hit of the contest.
