Yes, and we have Dennis Maille and the Cubs to thank. Nice field and the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term relationship between the caretakers and CDMSBL. Do us proud, boys.

At the clean up I was talking with one of the maintainance guys. He said that they could have kids announcing the lineups and the concession open and stuff. I had to say, "Well, um, nobody actually comes to our games." Pause, "Go figure."

But maybe this could be a site for our beleagured and ill-attended All-Star game? Under the lights on a Friday or Saturday night? I've maintained that we should consider attempting it in-season, just to see if that changes things and helps turn it into more of a league-wide picnic/party atmosphere.

I don't know: Just throwing it out there, causing trouble.

Thanks Jimmy, I think it's a great idea, too - the Bob Moore/Collins Park/Jumpin Jacks area is a great place for a picnic/party atmosphere.

I think something like that would be possible at The Bob, and I'd be happy to help out by working with the field caretakers to make it happen.
