Under the direction of Jim Ansel, the Capital Division will kick off the Fall Ball season, today, 8/28, at the Golf Road Babe Ruth Field, at 5:00pm!!

This casual, loose and fun-designed league is a hybrid sand lot format, with teams split into Reds and Blues, with unique sets of rules. Among them:
- a pitcher who walks 3, or hits 2, or any combo thereof in an inning is pulled.
- runner for the catcher to keep game moving along
- steals allowed if agreed to be by both catchers
- unlimited courtesy runners
- 5 run per inning max, unless trailing, and allowed to tie; unlimited last inning
- 8 inning games when possible
- any ball reaching OF grass, batter-runner is awarded 1st base.

League is designed for 40++, and in particular, players who are returning to the game after an absence, injury, or seeking more playing time from a Division team where their play may be limited.....It is open to all (ladies and gentlemen)....good way to improve your game, or get noticed for a full season 45-55-62 Division team next season!

Above all it is meant to be FUN! In the words of our illustrious leader - BASEBALL FOREVER!!
