Good luck to all you guys still playing for a championship. I wish you all good luck. I reported earlier I got some bad news about my body. I have a 4 .3 cm aneurism on my ascending aorta. The doctor told me Tuesday that it is something to watch but I may continue doing what I have been doing. They are going to monitor it and I will need an electrocardiogram and another cat scan in six months. If all stays the same the dic says I may come back and play ball. Here's hoping and with the grace of GOD I might be able to return next summer to play some. In the mean time good luck again and best wishes for the boys going to Arizona, and Florida this fall take home the rings. PIDGE
Guys I cannot tell you how much I miss playing, but my health has taken another turn. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia , which the doctors say is curable or at least manageable. I have been to Syracuse and now headed to Penn Med in Philly because they cannot pin point the real problem. Although my white blood cell count is gradually coming down, and red cell count is up they are still baffled because aside from a weight loss I show no symptoms. Wish I knew more but until I find out keep playing and I am rooting for all of you. Pidge
Fred keep up on the monitoring of the aneurism. In January I had an aortic valve replacement and an aortic aneurism repaired. Nothing to it as I am recovering nicely. Good luck with the health issues.
