Reds 7, Highlanders 6 (8 innings)

The Reds and Highlanders started their season on Sunday at the Kinderhook Town Park. The weather was beautiful for baseball.
The Reds bats were a little slow out of the gate trailing 5-1 through 4. True too form the bats started to heat up scoring 6 runs in the final 4 innings. A good team effort by all, with Joe Burns going 3 for 4, Rick Koster also going 3 for 4, and Joe Parker hitting a solid double driving in the game winning RBI'S in the 8th. Joe burns also pitched a complete game striking out 11 and walking 4.
The highlanders played a decent game throwing a platoon of pitchers at the Reds. Kevin Jackson went 4 for 4 w/ 3 RBI's , Kalinski went 3 for 4, and Reed going 2 for 3
