Looking for some added support with a bottle drive! I'm asking players to drop bottles off to the field. Bottles can be in placed by the first base dugout on the outfield side where I can pick them up.
This spring, we have several guys who are training at Curbys Wrestling Club. In addition, they will be competing March - July. Fees include USA Insurance cards, entry fees for tournaments and in a few cases, hotel rooms for weekend tournaments which require travel. Increase costs and in the number of kids wrestling this off season, it's become more challenging than past years. I wouldn't ask for assistance if I didn't believe in what we are doing with the program. We have a real nice group of young kids who are truly committed to the program and want to get better.
The facility for bottle return is in Green Island, The Bottle and Can Company, if you choose to drop off there, let them know it goes toward Watervliet Wrestling. Any support is helpful, include your friends and family as well. To be honest, like the kids I coach, I hate to ask for help and try to find ways to make things work without inconveniencing others. Asking for money or donations is hard but bottles is simple and it adds up. I enjoy taking care of the field and helps the kids at the same time, so that part is good. Just this year, we need more.
