It is my extreme pleasure to announce that this year's sole inductee into the CDMSBL Hall of Fame is Jim Bonaparte.
Jim has been on the verge of making it for the past 3-4 voting cycles, but has just fallen short. This year he is the sole candidate to garner enough votes. It is about time that the CDMSBL recognizes Jim for all of the time and effort he puts into making this league a better place. His time on the Board; his time as the 30+ Commissioner; his time as the manager of teams in the 18+, 30+, and 45+ divisions is all time that that he takes away from his family; and we all benefit. He is also responsible for procuring many of the fields that the CDMSBL get to use on a regular basis and is the "Go-to Guy" for late season emergency field procurement.
On top of that, Jim has won many championships, both as a manager and as a player. His 30+ Indians / Wolfpack team is arguably the most dominant team in the history of this league. Mr. Bonaparte is highly underrated as a player as well. He rarely strikes out, always hits above .300, and will always play wherever his manager needs him. In short he is a great teammate.
Please join me in congratulating Jim Bonaparte on his 2024 induction into the CDMSBL Hall of Fame! Way to go Buddy!
Then there was this, and it's a good memory, which, if it serves, is that the first team you played for in the league was the Red Hot Peppers. Way back, maybe 2004 or so. You made us better.
