Four players on the Americans mimicked one another at the plate as each posted a 2-for-4 night en route to their team's 9-4 victory over the Peppers on Monday, May 20 at the A-Diamond.
Mike LaBarge, Mike Kane, Jim Porter and Anthony Torre had the consistent bats for the combined 8-for-16 night.
Mike Kane pitched a complete game for the win, cooling, with one exception, the Peppers' bats for most of the game.
That exception belonged to Peppers' centerfielder and lefty hitter Bob Bolt who crushed a Kane offering down the right field line for a long-drive, late-game triple.
The victory lifts the Americans to a 3-2 record after starting at 1-2.
