Mostly the basics in this report. The Yankees jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings. The Arachnids cut that lead to 4-2 in the top of the third. However, the Yankees padded their lead to 7-2 after three full. The Spiders hurt themselves in those first three innings committing three errors and allowing 4 unearned runs. John Weber pitched a complete game victory for the Yankees surrendering 11 hits, five walks, and struck out two. Wayne Nicholsen and Kenny Wellington split the duties on the hill for the Arachnids giving up 13 hits and four walks. The Spiders left 14 men on base.

Offensive leaders, for the Yankees were Tony Nardacci, Tim Brown, Kevin Carpenter, and Paul Cerone, with two hits each. Jim, McQuade, Jerry, Rosen, and Nardacci each had a double.

Leading the offense for the Arachnids were Wellington 33, Stefan Koutsakis and Terry McCarthy, with two hits each.

Final score 10-3 Yankees.
