Congratulations to the Yankees for taking back the 62 league championship from the 2023 Champion Arachnids with a 9-2 victory last night at A Diamond. The Yankees have won the league championship for 3 of the first 4 years since the 62 Division was started. I will leave it to Yankees GM Ted Poleto to give a more extensive write up for the game. The Arachnids had a regular season record of 10-4-1 and a total record of 12-6-1. The Yankees earned this honor with their stellar play and determination. Enjoy this moment gentlemen. Looking forward to next season !

Not much on posts but I will say it was a hard fought competitive final and now that we have played each other the last couple of years and are familiar with each others teams it was as difficult winning as it was losing to the Arachnids last year. I am sure as time goes on other teams will ascend but for now congrats to both teams and a testimony to guys over 62 that can still play the game with the same heart we did when we were playing sandlot back in the day albeit a little slower lol. The other teams this year got better and we were challenged throughout the season which shaped us both for the playoffs. We both endured difficult semi finals and a possible change to next year with a best 2 of 3 in the semis possibly. I think that makes it even tougher to get to the championship series...That's a topic for the meeting later this year haha.
Anyway thanks for your sportsmanship and the way the Arachnids carried themselves. I know the Yankees were glad we didn't need a game 3!!! All the best to you and your team.. I am grateful that as the manager i basically just showed up and rolled out a lineup. These guys demonstrated what true teamwork was all about and made it incredibly easy. In this division we all have friendships across the diamond even though we are competing. tp5
It was tooth and nail between the Arachnids and Yankees during the regular season games with the Arachnids winning the first game 4-2 and the Yankees taking the next two by one run each. Unfortunately for the spiders, we were flat at the end of the season playing OK but not championship level at the end like last season. However, if we had another week, things mightve been different. Baseball is one hell of a game.
