Pete - I just got a message using your name & email address from some woman I don't know supposedly named Virginia.
Somehow she tied her connection to you, and said she wanted me to use my credit card to help her buy something for a sick friend
I said no.
I wrote you at your email address with a head's up, but it occurred to me she was using your address, so I might be warning her of her own scam.
You might want to check it out. Everybody else, head's up. If she has Pete's and my address, she has others.
So-called "Virginia" messages below.

#2. Good to hear from you and am sorry to bother you with this. I've been trying to purchase an Amazon E-Gift card by email, but it says they are having issues charging my card. I contacted my bank and they told me it would take a couple of days to get it sorted out. I intend to buy it for a friend of mine who's having her birthday today and she's been diagnosed with stage 4 mesothelioma cancer, She lost her only daughter to the disease (COVID-19). Wondering if you could help me take care of this through Amazon online? and I'll reimburse you back once I sort out the issue with my bank. Please let me know if you can so I can provide you with her email.
