Wayne Nicholsen and Kenny Wellington who have been teammates on the age 65 and above Arachnids found themselves teammates again during this past month on two National Championship teams . In Arizona, they played in the MSBL World Series on a team out of Philadelphia called MBI and won the cactus division of the 70 age division and in Florida they won the Roy Hobbs World Series on a team out of the Tampa Bay Area called the Florida storm in the AAA division of the 70+ bracket. Kenny literally hit the cover off the ball in the desert and at the beach and Wayne played lights out defense mostly at second base turning multiple double plays, 5 in the final 3 games in Florida. . Wellington was the leading hitter in the Roy Hobbs, World Series and had multiple doubles and a couple of triples and even an inside the park home. Anyone who has ever played on the same team with either of these guys knows how much they elevate everyone elses game on the team. Not just with their talent, but perhaps more importantly, that invisible inspiration that is impossible to put into words. To me, thats magic.

Well said Jim. Having played on the same 55 and 65 CDMSBL teams with both guys, I can honestly say that they are the best teammates anyone could have on their team. Even at 70+ their game is still top notch. Congratulations Wayne and Kenny on your 2 Championships this Fall season.
