Playoffs didnt go the way we wanted it to go. Chris Dunn took the hill for th Albany Yankees while we face Matt Dunbar who pitched for the Albany colonie Yankees and th Florida Marlins. Chris matched up with Matt inning for inning but errors gave them a few more opportunities. And plated some runs on the board. They scored 4 early on 4 errors. We came back to be within 2 runs with the score being 4-2 Lex herrlett led off the inning with a walk and Jj Janetsky crushed a double to the wall. Ground ball to short plated a run and a single by our 4 hitter plated the second run. With bases loaded and 2 out we grounded into a 6-4 Fc to end the rally. All week long our defense played pretty flawless but the grind of playing 6 games in 6 days legs played a difference in not making some plays we made earlier in the week. Chris pitched well we didnt put enough pressure on their pitcher. We had a few innings with men on base just never got that big hit. Till next year !
Again Albany represented well in this tourney with most guys being from the area an to have a 4-1 record in pool play against some national quality teams is a testament to the players we have in this area. Most teams we faced had more SUBS than we had on our roster. Some played minor leagues. Most teams sponsored. So great showing l!
