Finally, some really beautiful perfect temperature baseball at magnificent Watervliet high school field last night. Like I do sometimes when time is a little tight, I will pare down this report. The Dodgers came out swinging in the top of the first scoring two runs on 3 hits. The twins came back in the bottom of inning scoring one making it a 2-1 ball game Dodgers. The Twins scored two more in the bottom of the second going ahead 3-2 and steadily increased their run production throughout the game. There were 21 hits in the game, 11 by the Dodgers and 10 by the Twins. Final score, 15-5 , Twins win. Leading the offense for the Dodgers were Marc Trincillo , Greg Gougler, Ray Colleta, and Pat Alston all with 2 hits. Trincillo and Alston each had a double. For the Twins, Jeff Cohen, Steve Rychcik, and Mike Arbour had two hits each. Cohen had a double and Arbour hit two very long triples driving in three runs. Craig Tynan reached base all four times and scored four runs. Wayne Nicholsen pitched a complete game and picked up the win. The Dodgers have several very powerful hitters, and they showed clearly why they should never be taken for granted.
