TJ Scorsone allowed just one PEPPER hit through 5 while RickyBobby Flourent and JEFF WHITEHEAD surrender just two hits to the ARACHNIDS through four. The ARACHNIDS finally broke the scoring drought in the bottom of the fifth with one run. 1-0 Spiders anfter 5 full. Arachnids reliever Darrell Duncan pitched the final two innings of 6 up 6 down ball. How hot was it last night? Well, I know that inquiring minds are wondering so Ill tell you. It was so hot in the full game full sun first base dugout for the Home team ARACHNIDS that most of the guys went behind the dugout when it was our turn to hit so we could get in the shade of the dugout . Some were even laying down because it was that brutal. The visiting Peppers were blessed with shade along the third baseline for the entire game. And we were kind of envious. But we survived. The shade finally arrived as the game finished. Final score, ARACHNIDS win 6-0. Leading hitters for the Home team were Rick Saidenberg 2-3. Darrell Duncan 2-3. and TJ Scorsone a long double in the sixth thinning. Getting the hit for the Peppers was Dave Reed with a single up the middle in the second inning.
