In a wild first inning that strung....... 11 hits from the first 12 batters up in route to a 9 run first inning that propelled the Yankees the rest of the game. The game included a huge home run over the left centerfield fence at New Scotland that finally landed about 60 feet over the fence by Steve Van Gelder. Wayne Newcomb,Ralph Caputo, Dave Booker, and, Ken Zimmer and Paul Celantano had 2 hits apiece with Ken Zimmer and Artie Gianakos with 3 RBI's apiece. Ralph Caputo, Ken Zimmer, Artie Gianakos and Dave Booker combined to hold the Hornets down. The Hornets had Jim Konstanakis with 2 hits
