The combination of Darrel Duncan and Phil Gadomski limitted the A's to two or three hits in posting the shutout. They were helped by some sharp defensive plays by 3B Ron Lochner, SS Randy Craft, and C Dave Mitchell. I don't have the book with me, but I do recall that most of the runs that the Marlins scored were with two outs. Key hits were provided by Mitchell and Kurt Coons. The Marlins move to 5-3 and get ready to face ex-teammate Ralph Caputo and the Blue Jays (Sue Caputo's second favorite team) on Friday night at New Scotland.
