After a difficult weekend with tough loses and injuries to several players the Yankees showed resiliency and a determination to explode to a 15 hit and 15 run game against the Whiz. Steve Van Gelder and Dave Booker led the attack with 3 hits each and Steve with 3 RBI's. Everyone contributed and I'm sure there were several players with 2 hits such as Dave Latina who played with one leg basically and who has as much heart as any player I have ever met. Thanks Dave for a job well done. I would be remiss to add that Wayne Newcomb had 3 RBI's and he made sure to remind me. Thanks to Bob Lawyer, Chuck stanley and Jim Bonapart who helped fill in for the injured players especially with the heat.
