The Silver Marlins locked up second place and a first round bye last night with a 5 - 4 win over the A's at Bob Moore Field. Randy Craft pitched the first six innings to tune up for the playoffs and Jim Ansel came in and slammed the door in the seventh. The pitching and defense are carrying the Marlins into the playoffs, but the bats will need to wake up if we are to repeat as champions.
Tonight: a tune-up for Mr. Latorre against the Highlanders at New Scotland.
