We're going to try and resume the 38 "A" championship Wednesday night 8:00pm at Cook Park.
The old timers remember Rogowicz Field as the primary field for the CDMSBL back in 1993-94. It was where I played my first baseball game since high school. It's where I hit my first CDMSBL home run. It's where we considered erecting a bulletin board so somebody could post the league standings (back then, if you could get updated standings every two weeks, you were happy)
The CDMSBL returned to Rogowicz this past weekend for the Labor Day tournament.
One word describes the field. Impressive.
The infield is one of the best, if not the best in the Capital District. It has the infield dirt from Hertige Park which is dragged daily. New lights were installed last year, so night games can be played.
So, after you finish dinner Wednesday night, take a ride to Cook Park and see how much it's changed. And if they can match game 1, you should see a pretty good game, too.
(From Wolf Road, Central Ave intersection, head west on Central for about one mile. Take a left on Lincoln Ave for 1/2 mile. Cook Park is on the left)
